In light of the Drought in California… In 1986 Masanobu Fukuoka (a Respected farmer, philosopher & microbiologist) traveled to America visiting California for the second time in his prosperous life… This is what he wrote about the state of the land:

masanobu
“When he first saw the condition of the landscape in California he was shocked by how barren it was. Some of that, he noted, was caused by the climate, which lacks the dependable summer rains of Japan, but much of it was caused by care- less agricultural practices, poor water management, overgrazing, and over-logging.”

Now in 2015 (and before) California is suffering from a serious drought, one so bad that the land is turning into a barren waste land, in 2013 water rationing was implemented in various counties, jobs have been lost, culture has been changed & soon other states (like Arizona) will suffer drastically from this Ecological tragedy. All may have been salvaged if “We the People” Respected Nature, The Land & our Resources.

Why does it take our Culture so long to take action before all is Lost? I would Love to hear your input, feedback & solutions (please comment below!).
